The 109 has been gone all of 2 weeks (gratuitous 109-when-finished-and-shiny pic):
The intention hadn’t been to sell it, but it was finished and I was bored…
I was enjoying the new-found space in the shed, thinking about which of the many jobs lined up for the 110 and 127 I would make a start on, when I was offered a series 1 at a reasonable price.
It’s not been on the road since 1985, and it’s probably going to need a whole load of work to get it back there. No doubt lots of stuff will need fixed, and many hard-to-find series 1 bits will have to be acquired.
Sounds grand, where do I sign!?
Basically, it’s a big pile of bits roughly resembling a series 1. Most of it came home stuffed into the back of the 110…
Still, I’m quite looking forward to this! More (much more, probably) to follow once I’ve stripped it down and had a good nosey.
